15 years ago, Rumiko Takahashi’s InuYasha premiered in Weekly Shonen Sunday on November 13th, 1996. Little did she know… her feudal fairytale would shake the world by storm. Affecting millions of readers and watchers across the globe. Making people cry, laugh, and wanting more and more! InuYasha would open friendships for people around the world; it would make people feel as if they’ve fit in somewhere. We would stay up late at night watching this show, we would get the manga for Christmas and read it all day long. Rumiko gave us someone to believe in, something to take us away from this cruel, cruel world that we live in. InuYasha was our escape.
In 2001, InuYasha won Shogakukan’s Best shounen manga title of the year. Soon, the manga started to appear in the New York Times and Diamond Distributions top selling lists. In 2005, InuYasha was one of the most searched series, according to Lycos. InuYasha is one of the most celebrated series of all time — click here for more awards.
I speak for all of us when we say, THANK YOU RUMIKO TAKAHASHI.15 years strong, Inuyasha still lives on!
“Daddy” gets stuck in my mouth
caught against the roof and my tongue,
the same way his pb&j would.
He always used too much peanut butter.
Thoughts…
If I cosplayed as Kaylee from Firefly, think anyone would recognize me?
I feel like Voldemort truly is the ultimate socially awkward penguin.
Try to rule the world -> Thwarted by 1 yr old
Plan a dastardly scheme to return -> Spend one year attached to the back of a face
Use a gigantic poisonous snake as a weapon -> Defeated by a hat
Brag to Harry Potter about how great you are -> He feels sorry for you
Open locket which contains a piece of Voldemort’s soul -> Also contains porn
Finally kill Harry Potter -> Oh wait…
